Kids Rushed To Emergency After Strawberry Quick

10/08/2009

There is a new drug known as "strawberry quick". This is a very scary thing going around in US schools right now that we all need to be aware of. Apparently some drug dealers are selling colored crystal methamphetamine that resembles "Pop Rocks" (the candy that sizzles and "pops" in your mouth) and other forms of candy.

It has been nicknamed "Strawberry Quick." It also smells like strawberry and is being handed out to kids in school yards. Drug dealers are selling crystal meth that has been flavored to make it more appealing to kids.

Kids are taking what they think is candy and are being rushed off to the hospital in a dire condition. It also comes in chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape and orange. Please instruct your children not to accept candy even from friends (who may have been given it and believed it was candy) and to take any that they may have to a teacher, parent, principle or trusted adult IMMEDIATELY. Escpecially since Halloween is upon us!

Educating our kids about  meth and the effects they have is critical to keeping kids from taking it. All the more reason for us to work together and ensure our kids get the proper education about crystal meth. Just as well, parents need to be educated on how to deal with drugs and their kids.
