SUCCESS STORY

After a surprise intervention on January 19th, 2008, in Washington DC by my family, I soon found myself on a 5 hour flight to this place not knowing what to expect. I was apprehensive, scared, hopeful, anxious, and a little angry all at once.

When I arrived at Detox, I initially breathed a sigh of at relief at the beautiful accommodations and the initial professionalism of the staff. My first impressions proved correct during my first stay (7 days) at Pur. The staff – Myles, Ketra, Skye, Henry, Billy and Cindy – was not only professional, but treated me as a human being during a very difficult time in my life. I felt comfortable, was able to be myself, express my thoughts/concerns and actually learn an alternative way of living without the crutch of drugs and/or alcohol. I knew I was in the right place, and got through the detoxification process rather smoothly.

The meals were great (I actually gained 8-10 pounds), the assists – something completely new to me – were helpful, the conversations were genuine, and the doctor’s appointments – including the vitamin drips and acupuncture – were fantastic.

I was so impressed with the Detox – the staff, their knowledge, and the overall program – that I returned to partake in the purification/sauna program. Again, not something I had heard about, but was anxious to try. I was educated and successfully completed the program... I can honestly say I feel great…both physically and emotionally!! I cannot remember the last time I have felt so alive.

I have an appetite and am eating properly, I am sleeping the best I have in as long as I can remember, and I am thinking crystal clearly. The next chapter in my life awaits me. It’s time to thrive, be happy, and live a drug/alcohol free life, which I could never have done without the assistance of Detox. Thank you for a new lease on life!!!
