Washington, DC Drug Rehabs

No one wants to be a drug addict or alcoholic, no one wants to be controlled by a substance and feeling hopeless. The addicted person's family and friends most commonly ask these drug rehab questions; how could my son, daughter, father, mother, sister, brother or friend become a liar, a thief, someone who cannot be trusted? And why won't they stop?

What you need to understand about drug addiction/drug rehab is that alcohol and addictive drugs are basically painkillers. They chemically kill physical or emotional pain and alter the mind's perception of reality. They make a person numb to the pain they want to be rid of but it also makes them numb to all other emotions, including happiness and life in general.

For a person to start taking drugs there must first exist an underlying situation of unhappiness, sense of hopelessness, or physical pain. Since the substances that they are taking to 'kill the pain' are chemicals and toxic to the bodies they actually add in creating depression. A good alcohol and drug rehab will include detox which aims at ridding the body and mind of toxins accumulated by drug use.

Bodies need vitamins, minerals, oils and water to function properly when they are deprived of proper nourishment they become very depleted. The vitamin deficiencies will cause the person to experience problems sleeping, depression and physical aches and pains and severe mood swings.

Drug Rehab Centers

There are many different kinds of drug rehabs or drug treatment centers and drug rehab programs.

We will provide you with as much drug rehab information and drug addiction treatment information as possible including specific information about each type of drug rehab, and how to get into inpatient drug rehab centers that will work for all kinds of drug and alcohol addiction.

A good drug rehab typically will last for a minimum of 3 months or more. These give the person a much higher rate of success; there is no 'quick fix' for alcohol and drug addiction...

Completely drug free rehabilitation is the only way to help someone overcome their drug addiction and get back their life and happiness. Substituting one form of addiction for another is not drug rehab and does not help the individual it only makes money for the legal drug dealers and in fact adds to the existing problem.

Addiction can be overcome and we can help
